About this geometric pattern coloring page
Inspired by star blocks in patchwork quilting, this grid repeats sixteen nine-patch blocks. In each block the four side squares are cut by crossing diagonals into triangles, the corners stay plain, and the center square holds a diamond set on point, just as fabric pieces meet in a real quilt. There are 340 regions, a detailed page, but all the pieces are straight-edged and easy to see. If you quilt, it is a fun way to test color layouts before cutting fabric; if you do not, it is simply a cozy, homey pattern that looks like a blanket on a winter bed.

Coloring tips
Think like a quilter: pick a light background fabric, a medium and a dark, and decide which shapes form stars and which form the background. Use the eyedropper to reuse colors exactly. Cozy plaids and warm reds look classic; pastels give a nursery-quilt feel; two blues and white look like a Shaker quilt.
