Quilt coloring pages for adults

Quilt coloring pages borrow their designs from traditional patchwork blocks. You will find the log cabin, built from narrow strips spiraling around a center square; the pinwheel, four split squares that seem to spin; a patchwork grid of pieced blocks; tumbling blocks, which form an optical illusion of stacked cubes; and star and cross tiles, a tiling pattern that pieces together like a quilt. Coloring a quilt page is a little like choosing fabrics: decide on a light, a medium and a dark value, then place them so the pattern reads clearly from a distance. Contrast matters more than color here. For a vintage look, try muted reds, indigo and cream, or go modern with two bright colors and plenty of white.
