About this tangle pattern coloring page
A classic tangle tile: a rounded square divided by four flowing "strings" into irregular sections, each filled with a different repeating pattern. You will find scales like fish skin, nested aura lines, stripes, grids, waves, orbs, zigzags and scattered circles, the building blocks of pattern drawing. The page has 398 regions, so it is a detailed design, but each section is consistent within itself, which keeps it calm. Tangle-style art is traditionally black and white, but coloring it adds a whole new dimension, and this tile is a great way to explore how different textures react to color.

Coloring tips
Give each section its own color, or limit yourself to one hue in many shades for a sophisticated, monochrome look. Leaving one or two sections white creates contrast and rest. Zoom in on the scattered circle sections; the small circles look lovely in a single bright accent. Shading only the edges of each section with a darker tone of its color makes the strings look raised, like embossed paper.
